This project was undertaken whilst at Johns Associates Ltd. JA were instructed by Bromham Parish Council to assist with the development of a new Community Hub facility to replace the village hall that was destroyed by fire in 2021. The project has been part-funded by a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund.

The development includes a new bespoke community building providing a range of valuable social and recreational functions and to create a new community focus for the village, aiming to create a modern and inclusive space for all residents to enjoy. The project was led by Oxford Architects.

Our inputs included landscape masterplanning and a soft planting strategy and specification.

An important consideration was the setting of the building in relation to adjoining residential properties to the north, New Road to the east and existing playing fields to the west and south.

The redevelopment of the former site also explored potential opportunities for some new residential development to the north in line with Local Plan requirements to help assist with future funding of the Hub, and to explore potential opportunities for a new sports pavilion and Village Shop to be funded separately.

Full planning approval was granted in July 2024, and the project is now fully operational.
