This project was undertaken whilst at Johns Associates Ltd to provide a ‘visioning’ exercise for new front garden spaces associated with development at this residential property.

An important objective was to provide good visual connectivity between the new development and the proposed garden spaces.

Other considerations included providing a suitable level of privacy in relation to a nearby public right of way, creating a positive sense of arrival and preserving important views out from the garden across the wider valley setting.

The inspiration for the design was informed by the client’s appreciation of the ‘Arts and Crafts’ movement with nods to Gertrude Jekyll and Edwin Lutyens.
